How long should my explainer video be?

• For explainer videos that you’ll use on your website, we typically recommend videos from 60 to 120 seconds.
• For advertising and social media video ads, we suggest videos under 60 seconds.
• If you have a complex product or service, or if it’s a sales video (or a corporate video) that needs to address all of your prospects’ concerns, then you can go beyond 120 seconds. In most cases, less is more – plus sometimes the attention span of your audience can be quite short.
• For channel-specific videos (eg. YouTube, Instagram and/or Facebook) we optimise them for algorithmic best performance, reach and engagement.

We can organise the voice record with a professional voice artist, pick some great music for you, and create your story as a 2D animation that can also use kinetic text and any other elements that are required. How fast can you make me an explainer video?

Typically, it can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks (or longer) to make a high-quality video from start to finish. Several factors can influence this time frame, including:

• The duration of your video
• The style of your video and how complex it may be
• Other conceptual considerations
• If you need us to design and draw characters
• Your communications response times for reviews, approvals, etc
