Case Study – PowerPoint Presentations that Pop

The Client(s):

TTPP has been working with many clients over the last 15 years, some of which we have had (or currently still have) long term relationships with for their annual events. These clients in this particular case study include: RosemarieD, Hogs Breath Cafe, Local Government Association of Qld (LGAQ), and Betta Home Living (BSR).

The Brief:

  • Our clients want presentations that cut through the boring powerpoint of old, and compliment the speaker rather than being a wall of text
  • To maximise the use of colour, use minimal text, create engaging imagery that makes PowerPoint the complementary backdrop to the speaker that it should be
  • At all times, try make the imagery tell the story rather than words, so the audience can focus on what the speaker is saying
  • Creative use of transitions to make the presentation seamless and engaging
  • Make the presenter as professional looking as possible
  • Make the presentation memorable and engaging
  • For coursework slides – make the message clear and simple

Our Solution:

  • We work closely with our presenters to communicate effectively their message
  • Ideas are discussed and we work with the confidence levels of the presenter – we won’t make them do anything they are not comfortable doing!
  • Need more words as a prompt? No problem, we can do that in many ways to keep it looking awesome
  • Wherever possible we use images, shapes and vibrant colours to convey meaning
  • Animations within slides are used to highlight processes and to build a message on screen to prevent visual overwhelm
  • Font choice and font size is very important, using flexible fonts that work well in all types of layouts is essential for consistent and professional looking slides – there’s nothing worse than text you can’t read from up the back of the room!

The Outcome:

  • Excellent impact on the audience, with speakers personally thanking me after the events.
“We have been working with Kylie over the last decade and consider her contribution to our presentations a key part of delivering an engaging and relevant message, and one that is certainly “To the Point”. Kylie seeks to understand the speakers objectives and then frame the presentation in a way that the message is easily communicated through creative and innovative ideas. Her ability to deliver high quality content on time makes our job easier. We highly recommend her and her work to anyone seeking her services.”

“At Hog’s Breath Cafe we are all about fun, attitude and making a statement. For over 5 years now, Kylie has created animated power point slides for our annual conferences that reflect just that. No matter how urgent the project Kylie always comes through with fantastic ideas and continually meets our deadlines. We highly recommend Kylie and can safely say you won’t be disappointed.”

Hogs Breath Café
“I felt very comfortable working with Kylie. She magically seemed to always understand where I was coming from, so she was able to precisely translate my thoughts into graphical concepts – which was refreshing and effective. I am absolutely delighted with the results of the course she created in PowerPoint and all my branding elements. Everyone I have shown it to has reacted very positively! I would recommend Kylie and her team anytime, and I would love to continue working with Kylie into the future!"

“I have had the opportunity of working with Kylie over the past 10 years. Kylie has always been very professional in her approach to the conferences and, in particular the individual speakers requirements. She has demonstrated her ability on more than one occasion to provide creative input for the speakers, assisting them with sometimes incompatible files close to stage time. In essence, she makes the speaker feel calm, relaxed and confident that his/her presentation will not let them down. I would highly recommend “To The Point Productions” for your next event.”
